What to Expect When You Visit
Going into a church building the first time is no different than visiting any other organization the first time. There is always the fear of the unknown. Where do I sit? What do I do? Where are the restrooms? What do I wear? Do I go to class or not? Will anyone speak to me? Will too many people speak to me?
The main fears of attending a church the first time are derived the views of attending church that are portrayed on TV and in the movies. CHURCH JUST SEEMS A SCARY PLACE!!
Please be assured that attending the Bethel Church of Christ will not be a scary adventure. We believe you will feel very comfortable in a short time - whether you attend Bible classes or a worship service. We are just sinners saved by God's grace through Jesus Christ trying to live a good life in Him.
If you choose to first attend a worship service on Sunday morning or Sunday evening, you will find that we participate in several forms of worship during the hour. You are invited to participate in any or all of them as you feel comfortable.
In addition, you may observe persons responding at the end of the lesson for baptism or for prayer.
